Welcome to BringbacktheSHO.com
In 1989 Ford created the affordable sports sedan when they offered the Taurus SHO. The SHO was a car built well before its time, and belonged to a genre of automobiles Ford has since all but abandoned. Though the SHO was retired in 1999 and the Taurus moniker in 2006, Ford has proven that nothing is final. For 2008 the Taurus nameplate is back and on a car that's arguably better than the original Taurus ever was. The intention of this campaign is to spread the word to Ford and various automobile outlets that there is a demand for high performance sedans. In a period when performance sedans feature 300 or more horsepower, it's important that Ford fuels that fire as well. They created this market with the original SHO. They can once again conquer this market with the same car. Bring back the SHO Please take a moment to sign our Guestbook. Comments, Suggestions, Media or Questions? Email us |

 | Redesigned Taurus due in late '09 as a 2010 model |
While Ford CEO Alan Mulally was at the Automotive News World Congress in Detroit, he revealed that the automaker would be introducing a new Taurus sedan in late 2009 as a 2010 model. Mulally said in his speech, "The new Taurus is the one we should have made originally."
The picture that accompanies this article is a small clay model of the new redesigned Taurus. The new Taurus has been under extremely tight security. To date there has not been a leak of major information or even a spy photo.

 | EcoBoost in TwinForce out |
Ford had renamed its new Gasoline Direct Injection Turbocharged 3.5 V6 to EcoBoost. The change from the previous name "TwinForce" was made because the marketing team did not want to lead customers on that this is only a "Performance" type engine. They want to stress that this new engine will be able to get better MPG along with the performance of a V8.
