BringbacktheSHO.com is proud to present the 2010 Ford Taurus SHO!
In 1989 Ford created the affordable sports sedan when they
offered the Taurus SHO. The SHO was a car built well before its time, and
belonged to a genre of automobiles Ford has since all but abandoned. Though
the SHO was retired in 1999 and the Taurus moniker in 2006, Ford has proven
that nothing is final by re-incarnating the Taurus nameplate in 2008 and
unveiling an all new Taurus for 2010. Fortunately, the story doesn't
end there.
On Wednesday February 11th Ford introduced the new 2010 Ford Taurus SHO at the Chicago Auto Show. The new SHO is equipped with 20" wheels, a stiffer sport suspension and creature
comforts galore this isn't your average Taurus. Nothing
demonstrates this better than the Twin Turbo 3.5 Liter V6 which will transfer
it's 365hp & 350 ft/lbs of torque to the pavement through all four wheels.
A special car deserves a special badge and this car is no exception. We're
pleased to announce the 2010 AWD, 365hp, Twin Turbo Ford Taurus S-H-O.
Stay with BBTS.com. We will be your source for the latest 2010 Ford Taurus SHO information!

 | 2010 SHO News: Esquire Magazine names the Ford Taurus SHO ''Car of the Year'' |
Here is the first few paragraphs from Esquire's Car of the Year article.
Picking a car of the year is not a scientific business. It's
about priorities. If you're a single guy with an unlimited amount of
dough, you should get an Audi R8. If you hate fun as much as you love
patchouli, buy a hybrid. (Or for a green car that actually kicks ass,
see the BMW 335d.) And if you're a subscriber of Mexican Drug Lord Quarterly,
your car of the year would definitely be the Knight XV, a $295,000
armored SUV that looks like something you'd buy if DMX were mad at you.
Here at Esquire, we have our own set of priorities. First and
foremost, we believe the car of the year should be able to stir the ol'
loins — you need to feel a little tingle of excitement every time you
grab those keys. Yet, unlike the $115,000 R8, it should also be
attainable for most men. Our car should be sharp enough to impress a
date and restrained enough to park next to your boss. It's a vehicle
that is thrilling but not profligate, handsome but not faddish. We
wanted to select a car that fulfills the mundane, practical needs of
year-round transportation but also packs enough beans under the hood to
give you a queasy feeling when you realize the guy in the Porsche is
instigating a race — and you're about to take him up on it.
After much driving and much debate, there was only one conclusion: The Esquire Car of the Year is the 2010 Ford Taurus SHO. LINK: Esquire.com Car of the Year article

 | BBTS Spotlight: BringbacktheSHO spotlight on Crissy Rodriguez |
This is a first in a series of articles that will be posted about the people who made the new SHO possible!
The first person in that series is Crissy Rodriguez. Crissy is the Vehicle Dynamics Development Engineer of the new SHO.
Crissy explains her job. "As an engineer, I need to make sure the car is safe,"
"As a (race) driver I have to make sure the car handles well. And then
I have to tune the car to have the right personality for being the
latest Ford."
The new SHO's suspension was tuned by Crissy and is a big change over the regular Taurus. The performance package allows the car to handel the twisties even more by including another 20-percent on
the dampers then 9-percent stiffer rear springs, and a thicker rear
anti-roll bar. These changes make very agile
and immediately responsive.
Rodriguez continues, "After doing this for 12 years, I know what a car
should feel like, and I don't get questioned anymore," Rodriguez has earned the respect of other coleges, and is one of the most infuentual vehicle engineers at Ford today.
Rodriguez finished with,
"I think I've got the best job at Ford."
